Nylon Rope:

Braided nylon rope is manufactured with a tightly formed jacket, braided over a loosely formed semi-parallel core. High strength is attained through the straighter filament alignment in the core of the rope. The braided cover protects the core with an abrasion resistant barrier. Nylon double braid has the highest strength to elongation ratio of any rope made with conventional synthetic fiber. With controlled stretch and superior energy absorption, nylon double braid is ideal for marine applications and shock loading. Each filament is treated with Orion's proprietary marine finish to reduce internal yarn abrasion and water absorption. This added step gives the rope extended service life.
